The Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy reports that manufacturers in Moscow produced more than 130 tons of dietary supplements from January to August 2024, marking a remarkable 27% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Anatoly Garbuzov, the head of the department, highlighted that local enterprises are manufacturing a wide array of products designed to boost immunity, such as vitamin complexes, medical supplies, and foods enriched with essential microelements.
Currently, Moscow’s industrial sector has more than 4,500 enterprises with a total of over 750,000 employees. The annual growth of technology companies is about 150 organizations that are actively implementing innovative solutions and expanding production capacities.
To stimulate industrial growth and attract investment, Moscow authorities have developed a comprehensive support program. Manufacturers benefit from over 20 varieties of systemic support, which encompass financial tools such as targeted loans and subsidies. Additionally, according to Garbuzov, anti-crisis mechanisms have been introduced to support the industrial sector.
