NovaMedica is a modern Russian pharmatheutical company established in 2012, it is a portfolio company of RUSNANO JSC. NovaMedica's strategic focus lies in the development, production and commercialization of own innovative drugs. The company also undertakes contract-based projects for partners, including production that fully complies with GMP standards, and the acquisition of intellectual property rights to bring cutting-edge drugs and technologies to Russia.
NovaMedica is actively building a portfolio in the CNS sector, leveraging both in-house developments and licensing agreements with partners. Furthermore, NovaMedica has established a highly efficient infrastructure for the promotion and sale of pharmaceutical products, collaborating with esteemed partners like AstraZeneca. In 2022, NovaMedica achieved certification of its quality management system to the GOST R ISO 9001-2015 standard, covering wholesale trade, storage, and transportation of medicinal products for medical use.
NovaMedica holds intellectual property rights within Russia and the CIS for a range of innovative products developed under the RusnanoMedInvest venture fund portfolio.
In 2017, NovaMedica launched the R&D Center NovaMedica Innotech in Moscow, located within the Technopolis 'Moscow' Special Economic Zone. This center boasts state-of-the-art technological capabilities for scientific research, development and the production of innovative drugs, including contract manufacturing services. The NovaMedica Innotech facility holds a GMP certificate from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. It has an annual production capacity of up to 150 million medicinal units, including tablets, soft and hard gelatin capsules, and various other forms like micro-tablets, pellets, granules, and powders.
NovaMedica’s team is formed by top managers with many years of experience in successful implementation of pharmaceutical projects. Team leaders have repeatedly made it to the TOP 1000 Russian Managers List (in 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017 and 2016) of the Russian Managers Association and Kommersant Publishing House.
