The Department for Sanitary, Phytosanitary, and Veterinary Measures of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) recently convened a round table discussion focused on the implementation of regulations governing the circulation of veterinary medicines within the EAEU territory. During the event, commission representatives declared the commencement of the third draft of amendments to the EAEU regulations, which could potentially incorporate an extension of the transition periods.
Furthermore, there are plans to present the draft for public discussion to establish a cohesive regulatory framework among the member states of the Union. Evgenia Alekseeva, Advisor to Department for Sanitary, Phytosanitary and Veterinary Measures, in her speech announced the development of the third edition of the EAEU Rules, including a possible extension of the transition periods established by the Decision of the EEC Council of January 21, 2022. She noted that member states have already expressed interest in increasing the deadlines, and work in this direction is actively ongoing.
