In September 2024, the Russian pharmaceutical company Pharmasyntez will commence the construction of two factories in the Kaluga region. These sites will also host the production of import-substituting equipment for hemodialysis.
Enterprises will be established at the new, third site of the Kaluga Special Economic Zone, situated in the village of Vorotynsk, within the Babyninsky district. These will be the company’s first plants in the Kaluga region.
“These are enterprises that will be engaged in the production of a full cycle, from substances to finished products, to medicines. And they will also solve a very important problem by producing equipment for hemodialysis, which is not currently produced in Russia,” said Governor Vladislav Shashpa.
