During a recent session of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes, Health Minister Mikhail Murashko unveiled plans to increase funding for the healthcare sector. The draft federal budget anticipates a substantial rise in funding for drug provision targeted at specific segments of the population.
The department head announced 6.1 billion rubles will be allocated in 2025, increasing to 7 and 8.3 billion in following years. Particular attention is paid to supporting children through the Circle of Good Foundation, which also receives federal budget funds.
Healthcare development spending is projected to reach 1.5 trillion rubles in 2025, increase to 1.55 trillion rubles in 2026, and further rise to 1.6 trillion rubles by 2027. According to Murashko, this level of funding will allow the state to fully fulfill its obligations to provide medical care.
