Russia has the potential to achieve a nearly comprehensive supply of veterinary drugs by 2030, according to Minister of Agriculture, Oksana Lut.
The ministry has clarified that the primary objective of the new subprogram is to establish a sustainable supply of veterinary drugs and develop domestic technologies for their production. “Vaccine developers and consumers have expressed interest in participating in the subprogram,” the department’s statement emphasizes.
Oksana Lut declared in May that in 2023, the supply of domestic veterinary drugs in the industry reached 50%, while domestic vaccines accounted for 30%. She also revealed that by 2030, 70% of the supply of Russian animal drugs to the agro-industrial complex should be ensured.
