Gazprom Neft and St. Petersburg will cooperate in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) to develop technologies for the pharmaceutical industry. The parties will develop innovative technologies for obtaining chemical raw materials for drug components production. This is reported in the official Telegram channel of the SEZ Saint Petersburg.
“Some of the participants in the discussion on cooperation were Tamara Rondaleva, General Director of SEZ Saint Petersburg, and Arkady Egizaryan, Director of Gazprom Neft Strategy and Business Development Directorate. The company creates technologies for the production of processed products, including alcohols, esters, glycols of aromatic derivatives, which are in demand as raw materials for the production of pharmaceutical substances,” the report says.
The work will be carried out at the Gazprom Neft Industrial Innovation Technology Center, located in the Special Economic Zone.
“SEZ St. Petersburg is known for its strongest pharmaceutical cluster. Cooperation between pharmaceutical companies and the developer of technologies for the production of components from refined oil products will give an excellent synergistic effect and an impetus to the development of the production of pharmaceutical substances which are currently in short supply,” Rondaleva said.
As it became known earlier, Pharmasintez is investing 9 billion rubles in the construction of a new research and production complex in the SEZ Saint Petersburg.
