Photo report. Doctors and experts gathered at a conference with the support of NovaMedica to join forces in the fight against migraine

On September 23, 2023, the conference titledDiagnosis and treatment of migraine: in search of perfection!” took place in Moscow with the leading experts in the field of migraine therapy with the support of NovaMedica. The topic is important, as migraine is one of the most common diseases affecting the quality of life and work ability of many people. Therefore, despite the day of the week being Saturday, interest in the event was high. The participants – Russian doctors – listened to the leading experts and asked them questions both in the hall in Moscow and via teleconference from several Russian cities, as well as in the online broadcast on the website.

President of the Russian Society for the Study of Headache Gyuzal TABEEVA (MD, Professor) spoke about modern approaches to diagnosing migraine from the point of view of a neurologist.

Head of the Department of General Neurology at the Research Institute of Neurology of the Academician I.P. Pavlov First St. Petersburg State Medical University Alexander AMELIN (MD, Professor) in his report analyzed the problems of choosing an effective pain management strategy in the treatment of a migraine attack.

Marina KORESHKINA, MD, member of the Russian Headache Society and the International Headache Society shared information about new European recommendations for the selection of triptans and the place of Rizatriptan in modern clinical guidelines. She also delighted all participants with her vivid imagery.

The artistic and convincing speech by the Head of the Neuroclinic and Education Center Eduard YAKUPOV (MD, Professor) was dedicated to the use experience and prospects of nonspecific migraine treatment options, with an emphasis placed on partnership relations with patients and including a proposal to use for therapy the combination of NovaMedica’s products Relonova® and Difendum®.

Alexey DANILOV, Head of the Department of Nervous Diseases at the Institute of Professional Education of the Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, invited all conference participants to join the Club of Experts on Headache as a platform “for honing the art of treating” this disorder. Within the framework of the club, the discussion of the NovaMedica drug Relonova® will also continue.

Doctors in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod, as well as participants, who joined the discussion via online broadcast, attentively listened to the experts and asked them keen questions.
