This initiative will be closely tied to the new national project “Long Active Life.” According to Kulikova, the Director of the Department of Emergency Medical Care and Health Risk Management at the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, viral hepatitis C will be the sole infectious disease addressed in this program.

A paper has a described the first reported use of nanoemulsions as a novel delivery vehicle for the oral drug bedaquline (BDQ) “with high loading efficiency as a liquid dosage form”, according to the authors.

Saint Petersburg State Chemical Pharmaceutical University plans mass production of three innovative drugs based on original molecular compounds. Information about this was provided by Sergey Okovity, head of the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology. Currently, the institution is in discussions with five prominent domestic pharmaceutical manufacturers regarding collaborative funding for the second and third phases of clinical trials, as well as establishing the production process.
