Drug production volume in Russia grew by 14.5% in five months

During January–May 2024, Russia produced 1.7 billion packages of medicines worth 325.5 billion rubles. The growth rate relative to the same period for 2023 was recorded at 14.5% (in rubles), reports RNC Pharma. At the same time, the increase in packages was 4.3%.

As analysts have pointed out, the category of prescription drugs demonstrated a growth of 8.3% in sales volumes, while the overall product range expanded by 97 new items, reaching a total of 1,714 products under the brand. The number of supplying companies has increased by 16 in the past year, bringing the total to 347 manufacturers who have made shipments during the analyzed period.
