MOSCOW, July 07. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Monday will present RF government awards for 2013 in the sphere of science and technology to young scientists.
Taking part in the ceremony will also be Education and Science Minister Dmitry Livanov, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Fortov, representatives of the scientific community, the Cabinet press service reported.
Awards for 2013 have been given to six development teams. A total of 32 young scientists from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Novosibirsk, Leningrad, Moscow, Ivanovo, Kursk and Tomsk regions have become the laureates.
Among them there are representatives of research organisations and state higher education establishments, including three doctors and 14 candidates of sciences.
The scientific works that have received the awards have been implemented in the spheres of medicine and healthcare, energy, chemistry, metallurgy, exploration and production of mineral resources, computer equipment, as well as in the sphere of the country’s defence and security. “All the works have been done at a high scientific and technical level and ensured considerable economic or social effect,” the government stressed.
