Russia has registered its first analogue drug for hepatitis C

Pharmasyntez has officially launched the first Russian generic of the medication “Mavyret,” now known as “Pigleria.” This drug features a potent combination of active ingredients, glecaprevir and pibrentasvir.

“Pigleria” is approved for treating hepatitis C in patients aged 12 and older, as well as in children under 12 who weigh a minimum of 45 kg. The drug is available in a dosage of 100 mg of glecaprevir and 40 mg of pibrentasvir. Medicines with this INN are included in the list of vital and essential drugs. The pharmaceutical compound will be produced by the company “BratskKhimSintez.”
