Russian scientists are making significant strides in the development of medications targeting neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. This announcement was made by Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko during the Bioprom: Industry and Technology for Humans forum.
“Today, our scientists already have certain ideas and developments that can give very good results in this direction,” the minister emphasized. These developments, according to Murashko, can give significant results in the near future, and the scientific search for solutions in this area will continue.
The minister also highlighted the critical role of early diagnosis and prevention in healthcare. “Russia stands out as one of the few nations that conducts screenings for 40 different conditions in newborns. This proactive approach enables us to detect potential health issues at the preclinical stage and implement timely interventions, significantly lowering the risk of disability,” he stated.
