The Kaliningrad Potash Company has inaugurated a new plant for producing environmentally friendly fertilizers with high concentrations of fulvic and humic acids in the Kaliningrad Region. The plant is the only producer of fulvates in Russia, which serve as natural plant growth stimulants. Production is carried out using German technology and is completely safe for the environment. Currently, the plant produces 200 tons of fertilizers per month, which corresponds to 2,000 tons per year.
The plant boasts a production capacity that enables the processing of approximately 2 million hectares of agricultural land every year, while the sown area of the Kaliningrad Region barely exceeds 300 thousand hectares. The press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture clarified that surplus products will be distributed to other regions of Russia and exported to Moldova and Turkey.
The primary raw materials for fertilizer production are extracted from the peat mine in the village of Ushakovo, located in the Kaliningrad Region. Experts estimate that peat reserves at the current level of production are sufficient to operate the plant for 140 years.
