Russian pharma companies plan to produce some of their drugs in Uzbekistan

The agreements on offset contracts for the production localization of oncological and endocrinological drugs by Russian companies PharmEco, Pharmasintez, and Geropharm in Uzbekistan have reached an advanced stage of readiness.

The Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko and the acting Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan Asilbek Khudayarov signed two protocols on cooperation in health care, focusing on the following areas:

Furthermore, according to the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, there are plans for the reconstruction and construction of a complex for a branch of the Russian National Research Medical University. Initial projections indicate that the institution will be ready to welcome its first students by September 2025.

The complex of buildings has a total area of 14,000 square meters and includes an educational building, a simulation center, and a dormitory with 700 places for students and teaching staff. At the same time, the main building of the branch is planned to be located in the former cadet corps. In the spring of 2021, the Ministry of Health of Russia and the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan signed an agreement to establish a branch of the esteemed Russian National Research Medical University.
