The market volume of artificial intelligence-based solutions in medicine is 12 billion rubles. Currently, at least 70 projects in this area are being implemented in Russia. This data was revealed by Kamila Zarubina, the managing director of the Center for Biomedical Technologies at the Skolkovo Foundation.
According to her, in Russia more than 40% of IT solutions in medicine contain AI. They account for about half of all investments in digital developments. “Now we are seeing many different trends in the development of solutions for image analysis, medical information, medical device data, and the use of AI in pharmaceuticals,” she emphasized, adding that the Skolkovo startup portfolio includes about 50 medical technology companies in the field of AI, and revenue startups are growing at a rate of more than 35% per year.
Since last year, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation has been implementing AI solutions in medical institutions. Today, 84 constituent entities of the Russian Federation have already acquired these advanced medical products.
