Three initial standards for the secure implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of medicine were enforced in Moscow on January 1, 2024. They will be in effect for three years, said the capital’s mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
The main topic of discussion is the inclusion of neural networks in radiology diagnostics and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into educational digital platforms. This is aimed at enhancing practical skills and implementing medical decision support systems. The focus is on developing methods to test the effectiveness of these systems.
Sobyanin stressed that after the trial period, these standards can serve as the foundation for the creation of enduring national standards. He highlighted that Russia already boasts 11 established national standards for evaluating AI systems in clinical medicine.
