Health Ministry registered Russian drug for ankylosing spondylitis

The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) has reported that Russian manufacturers are actively replacing imported veterinary drugs. Overall, there is an ample supply of domestic drugs available for treating and preventing parasitic infections in domestic animals in the Russian Federation.

“Russian manufacturers, with the support of the state, are actively replacing imported veterinary drugs, increasing domestic production of vaccines and therapeutic agents for both agricultural and domestic animals,” the agency reports.

According to Rosselkhoznadzor, today 97 domestic companies produce veterinary drugs, 2318 drugs are registered, of which 1442 (62.2%), including 353 vaccines, are domestic. In 2022-2024, 245 domestic drugs for veterinary use were registered.
