In November, Russia produced drugs worth 61 billion rubles

According to the Federal State Statistics Service – Rosstat, the production of medicines in Russia in November 2023 increased by 33% compared to the same period last year – to 61 billion rubles.

“In November, 61 billion rubles worth of medicines were produced, which is 33% and 7.4% more than in November 2022 and October 2023, respectively. In January – November 2023, the production of medicines increased compared to the same period last year year by 5.9%, products were manufactured for 590 billion rubles,” the department reports.

The production of medicines and materials used for medical purposes in November increased by 28.8% compared to November last year and by 5.4% compared to October 2023. Over the 11 months of this year, their production increased by 0.6% compared to January – November 2022. The production of serums and vaccines increased in November by 78% and 42.3%, respectively, to 2.8 billion doses. Output in ampoules decreased by 87.8% and 49.2% – to 109 thousand pieces. During January – November 2023, the production of serums and vaccines in doses increased by 19.7% compared to the same period in 2022, and in ampoules decreased by 10.2%.
