The Russian government is not imposing any sanctions whatsoever against the U.S. in the field of scientific interaction, Gazeta.ru reported, citing Ambassador Sergey Kislyak of the Russian Federation.
“We are not going to impose any sanctions in the area of scientific collaboration. Russia has always been and still remains open and interested in normal and mutually beneficial cooperation. I have no rights to speak for the U.S. government, as you understand, but even at a formal level I have heard of no sanctions that would bar opportunities in scientific collaboration,” Ambassador Kislyak said earlier this month.
The ambassador emphasized that Moscow “is interested in seeing normal ties between scientists develop.”
