Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to label cosmetics and household chemicals

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation proposed to conduct an experiment on labeling by means of identification of goods related to perfumery, cosmetics and household chemicals in the period from December 1, 2023 to February 28, 2025.

The experiment aims to develop and test cutting-edge technologies for applying identification methods to goods. This includes exploring the seamless interaction between participants in the circulation process and the labeling information system. Additionally, the experiment will address various issues surrounding the organization of labeling for this specific product group.Participation in the experiment is provided on a voluntary basis.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the experiment will have no impact on product costs. Manufacturers will be given free equipment for the duration of the tests, along with labeling codes.
