The Ministry of Health proposes to assign the responsibilities of maintaining federal healthcare information systems to Roszdravnadzor. The corresponding draft government decree is published on regulation.gov.ru.
The draft proposes to amend the Regulations on the Federal Service for Supervision in the Field of Healthcare.
“Add subparagraph 5.8(11) as follows: 5.8(11). maintains federal information systems, federal databases in the field of healthcare, necessary for the performance of state functions and the provision of public services, as well as for the implementation of other powers of the Service in its established field of activity, including ensuring the confidentiality of personal data and information constituting a medical secret that is contained in such information systems and databases, in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation,” the draft document says.
The project was developed in accordance with the instructions of Tatyana Golikova, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, dated September 17, 2021.
