The Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region, Igor Sorokin, and the project manager of Alfa Pharm Glass LLC, Konstantin Nikulnikov, have signed an agreement to establish production facilities for medical products made from borosilicate glass in the Rostov Region. The estimated cost of the first stage of construction is 1.6 billion rubles. This decision was made during the international exhibition “Innoprom-2024” held in Yekaterinburg.

The enterprise will launch the production of import-substituting products made from borosilicate glass of the first hydrolytic class: glass tubes, ampules and bottles (about 5.2 thousand tons of finished products per year). It is expected that the plant will provide domestic enterprises with ampoules, which are now mainly imported.
