Putin approved a list of instructions on healthcare development issues

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to consider several issues related to the development of healthcare in the country. One of the key aspects is the vesting of the Union of the Medical Community “National Medical Chamber” with additional powers in the field of healthcare.

Putin instructed government to consider granting additional powers to National Medical Chamber, reinforcing responsibility of healthcare officials, developing self-regulation in medical field, and improving medical education. Deadline for proposals is August 15, 2024.

Additionally, the Russian Ministry of Health, together with the Moscow Government, has been instructed to consider the issue of involving the Moscow state budgetary healthcare institution “Research Institute of Emergency Pediatric Surgery and Traumatology” in coordinating the provision of medical care to children injured as a result of military operations, terrorist acts, and emergency situations , including accidents, disasters, natural disasters. A report on this issue must be submitted by August 1, 2024.
