The Russian drug bulevirtide for the treatment of hepatitis will be exempt from customs duty and value added tax. This was reported to the TASS correspondent by the press service of the Great State Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia.
“Mongolia has decided to import medicines for hepatitis D virus infection from Russia and the USA. The parliament will adopt a law on the exemption of the Russian drug bulevirtide from import customs duties and VAT,” the parliamentary press service reported.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health of Mongolia informed a TASS correspondent that the head of the department, Sodnomyn Chinzorig, agreed with his Russian counterpart Mikhail Murashko to pay for the treatment of his citizens from hepatitis D in the Republic of Buryatia from the budget.
The cost of treating this disease per month in Ulan-Ude is 165-175 thousand rubles. The parties are negotiating to reduce prices to 135 thousand rubles, since most of the patients with this type of hepatitis are pensioners.
