Glucometer factory opened in Technopolis Moscow SEZ

A resident of the special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow – Elta – completed the construction of a plant for the production of medical equipment and consumables at the Alabushevo.

“The area of the new medical products plant at the Alabushevo site is over 11.3 thousand square meters. m. This is a six-story building with modern engineering infrastructure. In addition to glucometers, the company plans to launch the production of the first Russian cancer testers, as well as portable devices for determining the prothrombin index and cholesterol levels in the blood, and laboratory DNA analyzers,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

“There are about 200 manufacturers of medicines and medical products in the capital. At the same time, about 25 enterprises in the industry localized their production at the sites of the Moscow technopolis. At the end of 2023, they invested more than 10 billion rubles in their development. Thus, a resident of the capital’s SEZ completed the construction of a plant for the production of domestic glucometers. More than 160 jobs will be created here. Investments in the project exceeded 2.2 billion rubles. The start of production at the Alabushevo site is planned for the end of 2024,” Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations, is quoted in the message.
