The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation plans to open the world’s first University Center for Palliative Care at Sechenov University.
“We will create it as a research and practical center. It will consist of Department for Care Coordination & Data Analytics, Department for Academic Affairs, and Clinical Division of Palliative Care (20-bed) as well. It will be the world’s first University Hospital for Palliative Care. It will use all modern telemedicine technologies that also help in identifying and assessing patients’ palliative care needs,” – told Dr. Tatiana Yakovleva, the First Deputy Minister of Health.
