As reported on the official Internet portal of legal information, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a decree on additional measures to ensure the information security of Russia.
According to this decree, deputy heads of federal executive bodies, supreme executive bodies of state power of the Russian regions, state funds, state corporations, and other organizations are entrusted with the authority to ensure information security of their institutions, including detection, prevention, and elimination of the consequences of computer attacks, and response to computer incidents.
Putin ordered to create structural units to be in charge of that sphere in organizations, including pharmaceutical companies.
From January 1, 2025, Russia bans the use of information security tools originating from unfriendly countries.
As it became known earlier, Roskomnadzor will apply to the prosecutor’s office in connection with a possible leak of Gemotest’s clients’ data.
