On January 21, the Center for Planning and Organization of Drug Provision for Citizens of the Ministry of Health of Russia announced two auctions with a total value of 116.3 million rubles for the purchase of AstraZeneca’s Koselugo (selumetinib), a therapy for neurofibromatosis of the first type, for the wards of the Circle of Kindness Foundation, Vademecum writes.
The auction results will be announced on January 31. It is planned to purchase 157 packages of the drug in a dosage of 10 mg, for 401,900 rubles each. 53 more packages of Koselugo will be purchased in a dosage of 25 mg, for one million rubles each.
Koselugo, a therapy for plexiform neurofibromas, was registered in Russia in November 2021.
As it became known earlier, an angioedema therapy will be purchased for the first time for the wards of the Circle of Kindness.
The Circle of Kindness Foundation for the Support of Children with Orphan Diseases will be able to purchase newly registered medicines in Russia before they are put into civil circulation. The corresponding resolution was signed by Mikhail Mishustin, the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.
