The Russian government has allocated 475 million rubles for oxygen units to combat COVID-19

Mikhail Mishustin, the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, signed an order to allocate 475 million rubles for subsidies for the purchase of air separation units for medical oxygen production. The document is published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

“In order to counter the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), 475 million rubles from the reserve fund of the government of the Russian Federation shall be allocated in 2021 to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia to provide subsidies from the federal budget to organizations to reimburse part of the costs of purchasing new cryogenic air separation units in exchange for liquidated ones,” the document says.

The designated use of funds will be controlled by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The Ministry needs to submit a report to the Government by February 1, 2022.

Earlier, it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers will allocate over 56 billion rubles to support healthcare.
