NovaMedica appoints Yulia Sobakina as Commerce & Marketing Vice President

Moscow, November 2, 2017 – Yulia Sobakina, who used to head Department of private label brands in the pharmacy chain Rigla of the Protek Group of Companies, has been appointed as Commerce & Marketing Vice President of the pharmaceutical company NovaMedica. 

“A professional with successful commercial experience in the Russian pharmaceutical market and excellent competences in marketing has joined our team. She managed a large product portfolio, brought to the market more than 30 pharmaceutical products in different categories and they gained significant market shares,” noted Alexander Kuzin, CEO of NovaMedica, “NovaMedica’s plans are ambitious, especially those connected with new partnerships and creation of own manufacturing facility, that is why new head of the commercial department will have a broader and more interesting area for both further development of opportunities of our company, and for professional growth.”

Yulia Sobakina has been working in the Russian pharmaceutical market for more than 20 years. Before joining NovaMedica she took the position of the Director of the Department of private label brands in the pharmacy chain Rigla within 4 years. There she managed implementation of the private label brands network Russia-wide, was responsible for the strategy of the company product portfolio development which she successfully implemented. Previously Yulia was Deputy Director for Commerce at the Pharmacy Chain 36.6, hold managing positions in the pharmacy chain Stary Lekar and the pharmaceutical distributor Moron.  

Yulia graduated from the I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy, pharmaceutical faculty. Also she took training courses at the Moscow International Business School MIRBIS, MBA Marketing-management program.
